Scare the “Crows” Off Main Street — Leesville’s Annual Scarecrow Contest!

The Leesville Mayor’s Women’s Commission invites you to join the fall fun as Downtown Leesville transforms into a patchwork of creativity and charm this October! Whether you're a local business, nonprofit, or just a scarecrow enthusiast, this is your chance to show off your imagination and claim braggin’ rights for the year.

Two Ways to Win:

Educational & Non-Profit Organizations 

Any education / non-profit organization is eligible to compete for cash prizes: 1st Place – $100; 2nd Place – $75; 3rd Place – $50

Business Division 

Any business is eligible to battle for the coveted Scarecrow Trophy and full-on Main Street glory! 2nd & 3rd place winners receive a certificate to proudly display.

General Rules:

  • Entry forms are due by October 6, 2025
  • Set-up will be October 7-12, 2025
  • Each entry must be able to sit or stand on its own. No props will be provided.
  • Each scarecrow must display a name or theme.
  • Winners will be chosen by a judging committee of local community members.
  • Removal of scarecrows begins November 1st through the 5th. You may collect your scarecrow or any items of importance at this time. Any items remaining after November 5th will be discarded.
