The Leesville Event Center played host to the Trash Bash 2025 Awards Night on April 7, a celebration of creativity and community spirit. Sponsored by the Leesville Mayor's Women's Commission and the Leesville Junior League, the event recognized the exceptional talents of local students during Keep Louisiana Beautiful's Love the Boot Week.
Winners of the poster contest for grades K-3 and the essay contest for grades 4-6 were honored for their inspiring work. Phillip Hunt, Mayor Pro Tempore, presented the awards, and the evening featured a special appearance by Paul Smith from the Louisiana Lieutenant General's office.
The event showcased the creativity of our youngest residents while highlighting the importance of environmental awareness. Congratulations to all participants and organizers for a memorable evening!
