Vernon Parish enjoys an excellent parish-supported public library system. Located in Leesville, the Parish Library is housed in an ultra-modern 20,000 square foot facility completed in the spring of 1995, and contains over 106,000 volumes. Special features include:

  • Kic Scanner, one may scan documents and e-mail them free
We are open until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
The Parish Library has two branches: the Dunbar branch on Nona Street is located in the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and the Pitkin branch. A Bookmobile service is available throughout the parish and audio/visual materials are available. The library is also a Federal Depository.
